Creators shouldn't have to choose between visibility and safety. But right now, that's exactly the choice that's kinda forced on you. Build your audience or protect your privacy. Show up authentically or stay safe. The bigger your reach, the bigger your risk.
The system is broken. And it's why Unpublic exists.
Our Beliefs
- Safety shouldn't require going dark - you built your platform to connect, to teach, to entertain, to sell. Your work matters. Your voice matters. You shouldn't have to disappear to feel safe.
- Prepared, not scared - most creators wait until something happens - the creepy DM, the doxxing threat, the stalker - before they protect themselves.
By then, the damage is done. We believe in getting ahead of the threat, not just reacting to it. - Creator security is different - corporate cybersecurity doesn't work for public-facing individuals. Platform tools are performative at best. And traditional security companies don't understand how creators live and work. Sure, you can be safe and private if you can disappear from the internet. But trying to balance being public and being safe is an exercise in walking a tightrope between visibility and vulnerability. Creators need something different: protection that understands their workflows, their values and their lives.
- The system won't save you - platforms optimize for engagement - not safety. Law enforcement is years behind digital threats - and they're more likely to surveil you than keep you safe. Data brokers sell your personal info for cents. You're not paranoid. The system is hanging you out to dry in the name of ad dollars and revenue growth.
- You deserve expertise that actually gets it - security advice from someone who's never built an audience? Useless. Or advice for creators who've never been in security? Dangerous. You need both. That's what we bring.
Our Approach
We're not here to sell you fear (or software subscriptions).
We don't expect you to go anonymous or give up everything you've built just to stay safe (that's not realistic). And we don't believe protection should be available only to the famous folks.
We exist to help creators stay safe - whether you can afford a full concierge experience or not.

Research + Trends
(for all of us)
We don't just react to threats. We track them - and publish what we find.
We believe creators deserve visibility into:
- How digital threats are evolving
- What kinds of exposure are being weaponized
- Which platforms are helping - and which are failing
- What systems are (and aren't) keeping public people safe
This research powers everything we do - from how we assess risk to how we built tools. It's also how we advocate for better systems, smarter tools, and more accountability. We're here to connect the dots and make them public - not just fix what's already gone wrong.

About Our Team
Hi, I'm Susan - the founder of Unpublic.
I spent years working in security and antiterrorism for the US Air Force, serving as a senior security advisor. I designed threat assessment systems, created security protocols, and learned how bad actors think, plan, and find their targets. I have a master's degree in Criminal Justice and I understand how investigations work, how digital exposure becomes physical risk, and what protection usually requires.
But, I'm also a creator and a business operator. I've spent the last decade building and running businesses - hosting the Calm is the New KPI podcast, advising founders, creating courses, and showing up online. I've been a COO, CFO, and strategic operator for high-growth companies.
And I know what it's like to post something and wonder if it revealed too much.
I know that feeling - the tradeoff between reach and risk.
I kept hearing it from other creators, too:
The growth that felt scary, instead of exciting.
The DM that crossed a line.
The "is this enough?" feeling after another privacy tweak.
The exhaustion of trying to stay safe while still showing up.
The lack of resources designed for people like us - public facing, but not celebrities. Visible, but not wealthy. Building something that matters , but without a security team.
So I built Unpublic.
Not as a traditional security company. Not as corporate consultants who talk down to you.
But as the thing I wish existed when I started creating:
Someone who knows real-world security and actually understands how creators live and work. Someone who could ride shotgun on the creator journey and watch for threats while you focus on the road ahead.
We've seen how threats escalate. And we've built audiences ourselves.
We know what you're risking. And we know what's worth protecting.
